I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
